My name is Avi Hoffman.
Some of you may have seen or heard about my one
person shows -Too Jewish ? and Too Jewish Two ! I
am a child of Holocaust survivors, and at a very
young age my parents taught me to appreciate the
beauty and depth of Jewish Culture.
Working in the
Arts is very satisfying, but my greatest
satisfaction has been listening to the people who
have approached me following a performance, to
tell me how wonderful I made them feel and how
proud they were to be Jewish and how they wished
their children and grandchildren could share in
their joy.
It started to
make me wonder ! Judaism had given me so much,
perhaps the time had come for me to give
something back. It was time for me to create an
environment in which Jewish Culture could thrive
into the 21st century, and be available to the
generations that follow.
It was time to
create The National Center For Jewish Cultural
Arts, Inc. (NCJCA) - A Not For Profit
Organization.
But I can't do
this alone. In order to make this dream a
reality, I need YOUR support. By becoming a
Founding Member of the NCJCA, you will be doing
your part in preserving the great legacy of
Jewish Culture. Your tax deductible contribution
will allow me to continue to bring laughter,
tears and a song into the hearts of this and
future generations.
