Mission Statement

The NCJCA is devoted to serving as a national resource for Jewish performers and presenters, and to the presentation and production of high quality Jewish cultural events, thereby preserving for this and future generations the rich cultural heritage of the Jewish people and its contributions to society.

The NCJCA is a secular, 501
(c)3 not for profit organization, whose purpose is to use all mediums available, i.e.Theater, Film, Television, Music, Dance, Art and the Internet, in order to promote the wealth and depth of Jewish culture.

The NCJCA is dedicated to presenting both existing and original works that portray different aspects of Jewish culture and identity.

The NCJCA will solicit and present works by Jewish playwrights, songwriters, artists, etc., in order to show the diversity of Jewish creativity.

The NCJCA will create programming specifically oriented towards younger audiences, in an effort to offer them a source of knowledge and a sense of pride in their Jewish identity. For non-Jewish audiences we will offer a means of learning something about Judaism, in order to narrow the gap between the cultures and offer insight into the ability of the Jewish people to survive and be creative, during thousands of years of persecution.

The NCJCA will present events in the Yiddish language, including poetry, literature, music and theater, in order to preserve an aspect of Jewish culture that was nearly destroyed in the Holocaust.

The NCJCA will present the works of the children of Holocaust survivors, in an effort to maintain the endurance of that legacy.

The NCJCA will promote musical events in Hebrew and Ladino, in order to show the beauty and variety of Jewish languages and musical styles.

The NCJCA in conjunction with the Israeli Consulate, will present events of Israeli culture, in order to promote understanding between our societies.

The NCJCA will find ways to promote the continuity of Jewish culture into the 21st century by encouraging new creativity in all mediums, through the use of Festivals, Commissions and Competitions, and by making our programming available to the Jewish communities around the world..
